In Hungary, KOSTAL is building a flagship global business service center to deliver exceptional support across key functions such as IT, finance, controlling, master data, purchasing, sales, sustainability, R&D and HR. This center is focusing on high-value, complex processes and your individual expertise can make a significant impact in shaping KOSTAL’s future and driving global excellence.
The work can be managed remotely – with time-to-time office presence depending on the team’s agreement and the demand of the respective professional area – from any location in Hungary. In case of some company events, office attendance is expected from the colleagues. Technical conditions for working from home are fully in place.

Overall Purpose of Job:
The Head of Global Compensation and Benefits is responsible for designing and implementing competitive, equitable, and sustainable compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent worldwide. This role ensures alignment with company objectives and compliance with local regulations, while driving a consistent employee experience across global markets.
Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:
- Support the Management Board and EVP of HR, providing input into the development of the Compensation & Benefits strategy.
- Responsible for implementation and governance of the global Compensation & Benefits strategy.
- Oversees the design and implementation of broad-based compensation programs (short-term incentives, base pay positioning, salary structures, non-financial rewards) for all of KOSTAL’s global locations.
- Oversees the global benefits program, ensuring it meets the objectives of the global benefits strategy for all KOSTAL locations.
- Partners with regional and local C&B representatives providing advice and guidance for compensation & benefits queries that may arise.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, HR and external partners on global basis, ensuring that the compensation & benefits policy is adhered to and continues to align with employee compensation and benefit needs.
- Maintain oversight of the global salary review process, ensuring it aligns with the corporate calendar.
- Line management of Global Compensation and Benefit team.
Qualifications
Education
- College/University degree with HR or Finance specification
Work experiences – time/seniority/ sector:
- Experience managing projects on a global basis
- Extensive experience in compensation and benefits programs
- People leadership experience, managing diverse teams
Technical/ IT knowledge:
- Experienced user of MS Office tools
Language – with level
- Proficient in English
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive experience in global compensation and benefits strategy design, implementation, and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and create actionable insights.
- Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
