The division KOSTAL Automotive Electrical Systems is responsible for the development, production and distribution of components, modules and systems for the electrical, electronic and mechatronic technology in car bodies.

Description

  • Lead and develop a team of regional commodity buyers in mechatronics
  • Develop and execute regional mechatronics procurement strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement and risk management in the supply chain
  • Collaborate with technical teams, engineers and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including the financial health of suppliers, capacity constraints and geopolitical issues, and develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply
  • Negotiate and secure cost, quality and delivery capabilities, including escalations, develop and maintain agreements with suppliers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or comparable qualification with several years of professional experience, ideally supplemented by Master´s degree or MBA
  • At least 7 years of experience in the areas of procurement, supply chain management or materials management, with at least 5 years in a management position in the automotive industry
  • Proven success in developing and implementing global or regional raw materials strategies, as well as negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of building and managing high-performance teams
  • Experience in a matrix organization in a global or regional environment
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of other languages (German, Spanish or Eastern European languages) an advantage
  • Proficiency in the MS Office package and knowledge of SAP
