In Hungary, KOSTAL is about to build its first business service centre to provide business support in IT, finance, procurement, master data, sales and HR fields. This will be a global centre with high value-added and complex processes.

Description

Overall Purpose of the Job:

As an internationally positioned IT team, we support KOSTAL product development by providing applications and solutions for mechanical and software engineering, as well as for managing development data. Currently, we serve over 6,000 internal users across various domains.

Our environment is diverse and dynamic, encompassing applications such as CATIA Mechanical Design, MS Project Server, JIRA, GIT Software Management, Doors NG Requirements Management, and our PLM system—CIM Database.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a qualified and motivated IT Specialist for our Budapest location.

Main Tasks, Roles, and Responsibilities:

  • Implement technical solutions based on requirements from our engineering business partners, primarily using Python and in connection with our CIM Database PLM system.
  • Develop add-ons and interfaces to automate and optimize business processes.
  • Configure engineering applications according to business needs.
  • Operate, install, configure, and handle incidents for engineering applications.
  • Monitor service performance, ensuring the highest quality and availability of the application environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with other IT technical teams.

Qualifications

Experience and Requirements:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT or a similar role.
  • Engineering experience or familiarity with PLM systems is an asset and can facilitate entry into the role.
  • Experience with scripting for data exchange, as well as PLM configuration and administration, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
  • Additional experience with languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, or Linux Shell scripting is a plus.
  • Fluent English is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset depending on role requirements.
